The Taliban have seized control of Afghanistan. Some university students have started their studies after the Taliban came to power.
However, the Taliban has said that they should be taught separately and based on religious principles. However, school going girls are still not allowed to study.
Malala Yousafzai, a Nobel laureate and human rights activist working for girls’ education, said the Taliban could not stop girls from getting an education on the basis of religion.
In an interview with the BBC, she said: “Many of the women who go to work are now at home, the girls are waiting to go to school. Does the new government protect women’s rights? The question has arisen.
“We know that the Afghan women’s football, cricket and robotics teams have to leave the country. Because they can’t play in Afghanistan. They are feared to continue their career in Afghanistan, “she said.
