Bulgaria is offering asylum to 70 Afghans and their families.
The country’s acting prime minister, Stefan Yanev, has said he will seek asylum at the Bulgarian embassy or in support of a Bulgarian military mission in Afghanistan.
He did not say when they would be rescued. South Korea has offered asylum to 300 Afghan workers. According to the Foreign Ministry, local staff working in the area, including the South Korean embassy in Kabul and its own hospital, are being rescued.
Deputy Foreign Minister Choi Jongmun said the Afghans would arrive in South Korea with their families on Thursday.
