NEB has resorted to using alternative methods of examination for two years in a row now as the entire education system around the world is grappling with post-COVID uncertainties. For the last two years students have been evaluated based on internal examinations conducted by the schools themselves. NEB set certain standards and based on the same schools submitted their evaluation before publishing. The same method has been used this year as well. Students are graded from E to A+ based on their performance in individual subjects of grade 10. This is the fifth year since the evaluation of SEE has been following the letter grading system. However, since the last two years an alternative evaluation system has been adopted by NEB.
